Our take
The S2 MK3 is a solid mid-range controller that feels both accessible for beginners and capable for experienced DJs. I love the responsive jog wheels and the 16 pads are great for triggering loops and samples. The built-in sound card is decent, and the various effects are fun to play with. That said, the build is mostly plastic, which doesn't inspire confidence for heavy travel. Also, the RCA outputs are a bit limiting if you're used to balanced connections. The layout is intuitive, and Traktor integration is seamless. Overall, a reliable workhorse for digital DJing.
